Now in its sixth year, the San Marcos Pride March and Festival is a celebration of unity, equality, and support for San Marcos’ Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender, Queer, Intersex, Asexual, and Ally community. It is also a strong stance against hate, violence, discrimination, and bullying. True to the spirit of inclusion and community, the events are held where San Marcos come together in the heart of our City: Downtown!
The Anti-Bully Pride March will start at 10AM from the Dunbar Recreation Center (Martin Luther King Drive @ Endicott St) and all will march to San Marcos’ Plaza Park where, from Noon to 5PM, the SMTX Pride Festival will take place. A proclamation and announcements will be followed by a Drag Show, Live Music, and more. An after-party will stay Downtown and take place at Zelick’s. Youth PRIDE will also continue from 6PM to 10PM at the San Marcos Rec Hall.
