Below are key points to the Main Street board meeting on March 20th, 2022.
meet three new board members: Barrie Breed, Maraya Dunn, and Keely Hennig.
Music on the Square-originally scheduled for Thursdays in April have been moved to Fridays in May (May 6, 13,20,27)
May 6th will be Latin-themed to make it a weekend long event
May 7th will be the County’s “Cinco on the 7th” event.
Mobility Hub Events- Every 4th Saturday they will have vendors and live music or DJ from 1-6pm
Vendors on March 26 – “Bloom Bazaar” selling plants
Vendors on April 23 – “Self Care Fair” – no information yet
Vendors on May 28 – Pet themed
Savor San Marcos has been cancelled due to Jason Mock from the SM Chamber of Commerce leaving. He was the one who was going to partner with MS and help with it. We plan to have it next year!!
LCRA Day is April 1 and will have more than enough volunteers to clean and refresh downtown with landscaping, etc. They are also painting the sidewalk stair risers in bright colors.
Bulbouts on S. LBJ will be painted in vibrant colors with designs TBD.
March 22 tree trimming will be done downtown.
April 4 they will be wrapping trees with twinkle lights that “stretch” so they can be left on the tree for a few years before needing to be replaced.
LBJ Museum is getting a new sign!
